Spring is a time where friends and family gather to celebrate new beginnings and warm weather. As flowers begin to bloom, it’s the perfect time to entertain and have people over for a big family dinner. Spring is the perfect time to revamp your dining room, and maybe even replace an old dining table. Here a few fun and interesting ways to decorate that new table for during the spring and summer.

Decorating for big family dinners is fun. The colors of spring invoke a sense of peace and warmth. Be sure to use pastel colors that complement the season. Many flower shops offer deals on bouquets, so make sure you snatch up these deals and utilize the flowers on your table. Purchasing a beautiful vase that sits in the middle of the table for your flowers will make the room feel cheerful and loving. You could also purchase some fresh fruit and place it in bright colored bowls on the table.

Another awesome décor idea is purchasing themed napkins, plates, and tablecloths. This would be a beautiful way to compliment the floral and fruit arrangements as well. This works for any holiday. Just be sure to pick your favorite colors and decorations that go with whatever season/holiday you happen to be celebrating.

Candles are always a great addition to any dinner. Placing candles in the middle of the table in the midst of the flowers can really add a lot to the ambience of your dinner. It’s up to you on what colors you go with, but for spring, you may want to go with pastel colored candles so that they tie in with the rest of your decorations.

Uniformity is important when decorating, especially with spring decorations. An offbeat color can stick out like a sore thumb and have a negative effect on the feeling of your party. Be sure to pick decorations that best suit the mood of the season.
